Session details

Can we build fintech apps and platforms in a way that includes privacy in the data architecture? Or does it always have to be bolted on?

Privacy, security and compliance are the three related challenges we all face to ship apps, especially today when privacy laws and data residency regulations are becoming quite intricate. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Netflix, Google, (and even Facebook) have transformed the way they manage personal data and how it’s used by apps.

In this invitation-only leadership roundtable, we’ll have an open and frank discussion of the situation, with a focus on what’s the right way to build privacy into the data architecture. We’ll focus on new ideas on how to secure sensitive data while still being able to use it internally, or even share it with partners and the larger financial services ecosystem.

We’ll discuss:

  • Alternative architectures and approaches for secure use of sensitive PII (incl. PCI) data
  • Architectures and patterns to comply with global data privacy compliance issues, including data residency and internationalization
  • New approaches to data encryption, tokenization and other proven techniques
  • Latest best practices and policies for data governance and access control
