Maran Nalluswami is EVP, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Synchrony, a leading consumer financing company at the heart of American commerce for nearly a century. He leads Synchrony’s long-term strategy, new business development, M&A, ventures and network partnerships, drawing on deep expertise in financial services and retail.

Previously, Maran served as EVP and CEO of Synchrony’s Diversified & Value and Lifestyle platforms, as well as Business Development, overseeing financing programs, multi-channel shopping experiences and loyalty solutions for partners across retail, sporting goods, powersports, apparel, jewelry and music.

For more than 20 years, Maran has helped drive growth for Synchrony partners through strong leadership, trusted relationships and a passion for innovation. He is the executive sponsor of the Generations+ employee resource group and volunteers with CURE PSP. Maran earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland.
