Tracy Kobeda Brown is a globally recognized fraud and technology leader, speaker, and strategist known as The Fraud Futurist™. Her 30-year career spans the intersection of fraud, cybersecurity, technology, product, and commerce—from launching one of retail’s earliest major e-commerce businesses at American Eagle Outfitters to building fraud and security capabilities and leading global technology organizations.

Tracy served as Chairwoman of the Merchant Risk Council and later as an executive with the organization, helping advance the global fight against payments fraud. She was also a founding leader and inaugural board member of the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), bringing together industry, law enforcement, and academia to combat cybercrime.

A graduate of the Wharton School with a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Tracy now focuses on what’s next: how AI, automation, and increasingly sophisticated criminals are reshaping fraud—and how organizations must rethink trust, risk, and fraud prevention for the future.
