Ryan Rugg is Citi's Head of Blockchain Strategy and DLT Implementation, driving end-to-end strategic design and enablement of blockchain-based capabilities across the Services businesses. She continues building core digital asset components for 24/7 payments, lending, and settlements across the firm. Citi Token Services, launched under her leadership, uses blockchain and smart contract technologies to deliver digital asset solutions, integrating tokenized deposits into Citi's global network to upgrade cash management and trade finance capabilities. Before Citi, Ryan led IBM's Americas blockchain team and served as Global Head of Industry at R3. She helped launch New York's Excelsior Pass and established a Centre of Excellence for distributed ledger technology with ACORD.
