Michelle Staton is the Director of U.S. Government Affairs at Zip, a buy now, pay later company based in Sydney, Australia and New York City. Michelle leads Zip's proactive initiatives with regulators and legislators, working to develop well-informed policy for the BNPL industry. She also represents Zip as a Board Member at the Financial Technology Association.

Michelle has been focused on fintech for the past eight years, previously specializing in the intersection of digital assets and public policy. Prior to joining the private sector, Michelle worked at the U.S. Senate. She graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of North Florida, where she also worked as the Director of Government Affairs.
