Luigi Zanghellini is the General Manager for Mastercard's issuing processing, prepaid programme management and Cardholder services capabilities. This involves enabling differentiation for Mastercard CVP through in-scope operational businesses, while driving commercial momentum.

Prior to that, Luigi was EVP Global Consumer Products with responsibility for the debit and credit consumer value proposition. In this role Luigi supported Mastercard issuers in delivering a secure, seamless digital consumer experience, and modernizing debit and credit product benefits aligned with evolving consumer preferences. Prior to that, Luigi was the Chief Operating Officer of the Mastercard Payments Gateway Services business unit where he was responsible for software engineering, customer onboarding and customer operations.

Before Mastercard, Luigi worked for 15 years at Accenture where he was an executive on the strategy team. He collaborated with the most prestigious institutions in the financial services industry globally, including large universal banks, payments service providers, insurance companies and exchanges.
