Kathy Butler is Vice Chair in the Office of the CEO at CIBC, where she advances strategic initiatives and connects senior clients to CIBC’s full breadth of capabilities. She fosters key relationships across Capital Markets, Commercial Banking and Wealth to deliver coordinated advice and integrated solutions.

Over a 30-year career at CIBC, Kathy has advised on mergers and acquisitions, debt financings and equity financings across sectors including technology, telecom, retail, industrial products and forestry. Her deep client relationships and strong understanding of CIBC’s franchise help clients navigate complex opportunities with practical, strategic advice.

Kathy serves on the Board of Governors of the Business Council of British Columbia and on the boards of CIBC World Markets Inc. and York House School. She is also a Partner of Social Venture Partners Vancouver.
