Juan Pablo Ortega is the Co-founder and CEO of Yuno, a global payment orchestrator addressing the challenges of online payments and fraud. Previously, he co-founded Rappi, Latin America’s largest on-demand platform and one of the region’s leading unicorns. At Rappi, Juan Pablo was key in its evolution from a small food delivery startup into a multi-functional super-app operating in nine countries with a valuation of over $5.2B. He spearheaded Rappi’s international expansion starting with Mexico and later built and scaled the company’s Payments and Fraud divisions. He also led the creation of RappiPay, the company’s financial services arm, offering QR payments, P2P transfers, bill payments, and a Visa contactless debit card. A strong advocate for digital inclusion, Juan Pablo remains committed to shaping financial innovation across Latin America. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics from Cornell University and is an FAA Instrument-rated Commercial Pilot.
