John Piazza leads product for Stripe Issuing, the leading global card issuer for fintechs, platforms,

and merchants who want to launch and scale innovative card programs. Stripe Issuing

supports some of the largest and fastest growing companies in the world, from Ramp and

Shopify to Doordash and Perplexity. He is also professor at Northwestern University Pritzker

School of Law where he teaches about fintech.

Prior to Stripe, he co-founded Newline by Fifth Third as its Head of Product; worked in

leadership roles across product management and corporate strategy & development; and

served on the board of the Innovative Payments Association.

Committed to giving back, he has volunteered his expertise in an advisory capacity to the

Federal Reserve, where he represented all mid-size banks in designing an interoperable

directory model for real-time payments; Accion, the leading global nonprofit microfinance

lender; and 1871, the leading startup and corporate innovation hub in Chicago.
