Jean-Paul LaClair leads product and technology strategy at FDX, the open finance standards body representing 200+ member organizations across North America. He oversees FDX's API documentation, security guidelines, and certification programs — sitting at the heart of the infrastructure that makes open finance work in practice.

Before joining FDX, Jean-Paul served as Director of Financial Wellness and Open Banking at USAA, and spent 15 years at M&T Bank in progressive leadership roles spanning digital experience, omnichannel delivery, and product management.

He brings a rare combination of standards expertise, product leadership, and frontline banking experience — making him uniquely placed to speak to what open finance must deliver for institutions, developers, and customers alike.
