Chris Newkirk is President of Commercial & Money Movement Solutions at Visa, overseeing Visa Commercial Solutions and Visa Direct. Since joining Visa in 2020 as Chief Strategy Officer, he has led the development of the company’s growth strategy, regional product and solutions, cross-border, interchange and pricing functions and founded the Visa Garage. He also serves as executive sponsor of Visa’s Asian Employee Network (VAEN). Previously, Chris spent 12 years at Capital One, ultimately serving as President of Small Business, International, and the Walmart Partnership. He has also held leadership roles at IndyMac Bank and was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Yale University and a JD, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He serves on the board of Higher Achievement.
