Bill Cheney is Chief Executive Officer of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in California and the fourth largest in the United States, serving 1.5 million members with more than $33 billion in assets. With over 35 years of leadership in the cooperative finance movement, Bill has guided credit unions and trade associations at both state and national levels to expand access, innovation, and financial well-being.

Under his leadership, SchoolsFirst FCU has been recognized by J.D. Power, Consumer Reports, Forbes, and the Orange County Register for exceptional member experience and performance. He serves on the boards of the Consumer Federation of America, Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions, Filene Research Institute, Origence, and the Western CUNA Management School.

Bill is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and completed executive leadership programs at London Business School and Harvard Business School.
