Ben co-founded april to help fintechs and financial institutions deepen their relationship with their customers through embedded tax. The company is pacing to be the first national e-file provider in 15 years and serves leading fintechs, such as Chime and Gusto.

Prior to april, Ben spent his career working at the intersection of finance and technology. He helped scale Team8 Group into a billion dollar AUM fund, and incubated several fintech companies that ultimately sold to PayPal and Bitsight. During his tenure at Team8, Ben also spearheaded the firm's strategy arm and its US office, as well as launched an award-winning cyber ETF and PhD program.

Prior to joining Team8, Ben was a fintech strategist at Deloitte Consulting, where he advised the largest US banks and insurers on their business, technology, M&A and venture strategies.
