Annissa A. Thompson is a Programme Manager at the Bank of Jamaica, where she leads the Enhancing Banking System Competition and Innovation Programme. Her work focuses on advancing Jamaica’s financial innovation ecosystem through major initiatives, including a national electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) utility, increased account portability and the development of an open banking framework.

Annissa brings extensive experience in strategy execution, programme delivery, business transformation and stakeholder engagement. She holds several professional certifications, including Project Management Professional, Certified Business Analysis Professional, Certified Balanced Scorecard Professional, Strategy Execution Professional and Change Manager.

Passionate about moving financial innovation beyond infrastructure and technology, Annissa advocates for connected ecosystems that solve real customer needs, strengthen competition and expand financial inclusion. She is also an adjunct lecturer in business analysis.
