Anahita Tafvizi serves as Snowflake's Chief Data & AI Officer, bringing a blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to the role. Her team shapes how Snowflake builds, sells, and operates — designing the enterprise intelligence layer and acting as "customer zero" for Snowflake's own products. She brings over 20 years of experience leading data teams across Instacart, Google, YouTube, and eBay. Most recently, she was VP of Data Science and Analytics at Instacart, leading analytics across its four-sided marketplace through IPO readiness. Beyond Snowflake, Anahita advises boards, executives, and investors on AI strategy, serves on the board of Candid, and is an Operating Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners. She is passionate about diversity in leadership and using data for social good. Anahita holds a B.A. in Physics from Sharif University of Technology and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University.
