Amelia Childress is a compliance executive and advisor with Increase Technologies, a fintech infrastructure company. She consults with FI’s and fintechs on strategic business and regulatory decisions, including financial crime risk and compliance program design. Amelia previously served as Enterprise Chief Compliance Officer for Block, Inc., responsible for global compliance and enterprise risk management across Block's portfolio. At Block she helped build the compliance data science, engineering, and machine learning functions — giving her a practitioner's perspective on deploying emerging technology inside a regulated institution.

Earlier in her career, she was the Head of Compliance at Fundbox, a lending platform, and held financial crimes roles at Union Bank, and Wells Fargo. She holds ACAMS certification and a master's degree in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute for International Studies, where she focused on transnational organized crime, terror finance, and nuclear nonproliferation.
