With over 17 years at the intersection of law, finance, regulation, and business strategy, Álvaro Vértiz advises corporations, financial institutions, and investors on how to navigate complexity and create business value across Latin America. As Partner and Head of Latin America & the Caribbean at DGA Group, he leads strategic advisory work in public affairs, government relations, regulatory strategy, geopolitical risk, and market entry.

Previously, he held senior leadership roles at BlackRock Mexico, including Head of Legal & Compliance, Head of Digital, Head of Business Strategy and Strategic Partnerships, Chief Operating Officer, and Board Member. He also served as Vice President and General Counsel for Latin America at Prudential Real Estate Investors and held roles at GE Capital and Citibank.

Álvaro is an Independent Board Member, Professor of Strategy and Corporate Governance at Universidad Panamericana, Endeavor México mentor, columnist, and media commentator on business, finance, and public policy.
