Tony is the global head of Oliver Wyman's Payments practice, based in the firm's Boston office. Tony leads a worldwide team of partners and consultants to serve stakeholder across the payments value chain (including issuers, ATM deployers, networks, acquirers, merchants and private equity firms). Tony has 25 years’ consulting experience working with leading organizations to build growth strategies, develop new products and enhance existing operations. He has served clients around the world with their go-to-market strategies, operating models and strategic M&A.
Examples of his recent consulting work include:
•Development of a comprehensive retail payments strategy for large banks in the U.S. and Australia
•Corporate strategy for leading payments networks; work spans Asia, EMEA and N. America
•Voice-of-the-Customer research to support the development of the next generation of ATMs
•Growth acceleration plan for an innovative merchant cash management product
•Facilitation of Board strategy meetings with payment organizations and industry associations
•Structuring and negotiation of partnership agreements with issuers, networks, and merchant processors
•Payments product price optimization to drive revenue and acceptance
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman in 2007, Tony was a Managing Director with Dove Consulting where he led the firm’s Financial Services practice. Tony graduated with First Class Honors from Oxford University.
