Natalie Hwang is Managing Director and Head of Simon Ventures, where she leads all aspects of investment strategy/fund management. She brings differentiated experience and perspective in scaling early stage companies across a range of asset classes spanning alternatives to tech-enabled consumer businesses. In recognition for her work, she was named to Global Corporate Venturing's List of Rising Stars for 2016 and to Global Corporate Venturing’s Powerlist of the top 100 heads of corporate venture funds for 2017.
Prior to Simon Ventures, she was an executive at The Blackstone Group with the firm's seeding platform for investing in emerging alternative asset management businesses. Prior to her transition to the world of finance and asset management, she was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. She received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies and Economics from Duke University and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
