Prior to that, she worked as a cybersecurity practitioner, in roles including principal in the cybersecurity practice with Promontory Financial Group and vice president in the cybersecurity organization at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
Kate holds a master's degree in cybersecurity strategy from The George Washington University. She serves as an adjunct professor in the applied intelligence program at Georgetown University. Kate is the author of the 2019 book Kingdom of Lies: Unnerving Adventures in the World of Cybercrime.
