Thai Trower is vice president and BSA officer at Marqeta, responsible for global financial crime compliance and economic trade sanctions. She is also a licensed attorney and former bank general counsel.

With over 20 years' experience in counterterrorism and financial crime compliance, Thai is a frequent lecturer and industry speaker with presentations to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation and global industry trade associations.

Previously, Thai served as Head of Global Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Operations for Google, Inc. She was responsible for financial crime compliance operations in over 100 countries. Prior to Google, Thai spent eleven years with Walmart, Inc. supporting financial crime and trade sanctions compliance. She has also worked in various legal, audit, and compliance roles and started her legal career at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, LLP in New York, NY.
