Mr. Bhalla has over 26 years of experience in financial services and currently serves as PenFed’s Senior Vice President, Consumer Chief Lending Officer. In his current role, Mr. Bhalla is responsible for managing Product P&L, Product Growth & Strategy, and Lending Operations. He drives growth at PenFed through risk and reward optimization through digital transformation, data-driven advanced modeling techniques, and partnerships. He previously served as the Chief Credit Officer and was responsible for managing risk in PenFed’s loan and deposit portfolios through policy management, account administration, collections, and loss mitigation.

Mr. Bhalla held various positions at Alvarez Marsal (Flagstar, Zions), FI Consulting (Treasury, FDIC), and Freddie Mac. He is a CFA® charter holder and holds a Master of Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
