Sara Madden is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Convera, responsible for global cyber risk and compliance, cybersecurity operations, identity and access management.

With over 25 years’ experience in the Cybersecurity field, Sara specializes in global risk and compliance, strategic threat analysis, incident response, application security, and information security awareness training. She is a keynote speaker, her threat research earned a 2018 BlackHat briefing, she is a 2x RSA Security Conference speaker, and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Prior to Convera, Sara was a Senior Director at F5 Networks where she built F5 Labs, the threat intelligence reporting division, and lead the Developer tech community. Prior to F5, Sara was the CISO and VP of Business Intelligence at Demand Media, after spending 12 years as an information security consultant.
