Ryan Schmiedl is the Global Head of Payments - Trust & Safety, Embedded Finance, and AI/ML at JPMorgan Chase. He is responsible for protecting the bank and its clients from the impacts of fraud and financial crimes and overseeing the implementation of Payment related AI use cases. Specifically, Ryan oversees product, engineering and machine learning functions for fraud detection, validation services, authentication, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting for JP Morgan Payments. He has extensive expertise in the areas of product management, software engineering, machine learning, and operations. Ryan has 20+ years combating fraud and financial crimes and applying AI to various industry use cases. Ryan holds a MBA and a BS from Carnegie Mellon University.
