Biography

Kate Crous is a financial services innovator who has spent over two decades reimagining how consumers and businesses interact with money. Currently leading Everyday Business Banking at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, she’s transforming everyday banking solutions for millions of customers. Kate played a role in shaping Australia’s open banking landscape, working with regulators and DATA61 to develop the Consumer Data Right framework. As a member of the Data Standards Advisory Committee, she helped architect the policy foundation underpinning how Australians control their financial data. Her innovation philosophy centres on creating shared value—building financial products that genuinely improve customers’ lives. Kate served as an advisor on digital identity and fintech and is a member of Chief Executive Women. Her experience across the US, UK, South Africa, and Australia gives her unique insights into how different markets approach financial innovation.
