Biography
Joanne Hannaford is the CIO and CPO for the Corporate Bank and CIO for Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) at Deutsche Bank, where she drives technology strategy, digital transformation, and operational efficiency. Passionate about innovation in highly regulated industries, Joanne has been pivotal in enhancing the bank's technology infrastructure. Previously, she served as CTOO and Executive Board member at Credit Suisse, achieving cost savings and operational improvements, and later focused on Americas Wealth Management Technology post-acquisition by UBS. Joanne spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs, the last decade as a partner in engineering.
Dedicated to advancing technical skills across society, Joanne is a Trustee for Founders4Schools, a Member of the Royal Academy Industry Group, and a Major in the British Army Staff Corps. She holds honorary fellowships from Queen Mary University London and University College London for her contributions to diversity in STEM. Joanne has been recognized in FN100 Women in Finance and Computer Weekly’s Top 100 Women in UK.
