Biography
Dr. Jimmie Lenz is the Lafitte Director of the Master of Engineering in Financial Technology program and the Frank and Irene Salerno Visiting Professor of Financial Economics at Duke University. Lenz also leads the Digital Asset Research and Engineering Collaborative (DAREC) at Duke University and co-founded Digital Assets@Duke conference series. Prior to his academic work Jimmie spent 25 years in financial services in a number of roles including trader, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Credit Officer and Co-President and Co-COO. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina, Master of Science in Finance at Washington University in St. Louis and Doctor of Business Administration-Finance at Washington University's Olin School. Jimmie has testified before congress on financial innovation and has published in a number of peer reviewed journals, and speaks regularly on FinTech, Innovation and Digital Assets.
