Formerly a Wall Street executive, Smart worked in financial services for 20+ years, most recently as the managing director, head of business strategy, corporate and institutional advisory solutions at UBS. She is also the daughter of immigrant small business owners, who inspired her to create a 401(k) product that would be affordable for the millions of Americans businesses that don’t yet offer their employees a retirement plan because they have been mostly ignored by traditional financial service organizations.
