Biography
Chris Chris Hopfensperger is Senior Manager, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Google Cloud Product Initiatives, covering global cloud policy. He was previously the founding Executive Director of Software.org | The BSA Foundation, where he led work educating policymakers and the public about the benefits of the software industry.
Prior to his tech policy career Chris was a journalist. He wrote and edited for several outlets, most recently as Pop Music Editor at The Washington Post.
Chris graduated from the University of Nebraska and earned his JD from the University of Michigan Law School. He lives in Alexandria, Va., with his wife, son, and two daughters.
