Alejandro Melhem is Senior Vice President of Fintech Hispanic Latin America at Mercado Pago (Mercado Libre), where he leads the business in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Uruguay. With more than 9 years of experience in the company, he has held various leadership positions, driving the expansion and consolidation of the payment platform in the region.

Before joining Mercado Libre, he developed his career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as Project Leader and Consultant, and worked at Tenaris in global planning. He is an Industrial Engineer from ITBA and holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
