Biography
Alberto Guerra, CEO of UniTeller (a subsidiary of Grupo Financiero Banorte, one of the largest Financial Groups in LATAM), began his career at Banorte in International, Corporate, and Investment Banking. He was part of the M&A and Structured Finance team that led Banorte’s U.S. expansion, acquiring Inter National Bank in 2006 and UniTeller in 2007. Appointed CEO in 2007, Alberto transformed UniTeller from a traditional cash-to-cash remittance business into a global cross-border payments platform serving financial institutions, MTOs, fintechs, corporations, and individuals.
Alberto has a Degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business and Finance from Monterrey Institute of Technology, a Master’s in Economics from University of Florida, an Executive Business Degree from IPADE (Pan-American Business Institute in Mexico), a Graduate School of Banking Degree from Louisiana State University and American Bankers Association, and a Business Extension Program from University of Monterrey and the Extension Business School of Harvard University.
